I’ve been dealing with that annoying “haze” for a couple of years now. You know, where you feel like you need to scrub your glasses every ten minutes? I started a new eye health regimen about two months ago, and I wanted to track the small wins.
Weeks 1-3: Honestly, I felt nothing. I even had a minor setback with a tension headache because I was staring so hard at things, trying to “see” if it was working. I almost gave up thinking it was a waste of time.
Week 5: I noticed I could read the back of the cereal box without squinting under the kitchen lights. Usually, I’d need to carry it to the window to get enough natural light.
Week 8: The biggest win happened yesterday. I realized I haven’t adjusted the brightness on my tablet in weeks. The contrast just feels sharper. It’s not a miracle cure—I still need my readers—but the “visual fog” is definitely lifting. It takes patience, but sticking to the routine really does make a difference. Has anyone else noticed the contrast getting better first?

Eight weeks seems to be the magic number. That’s exactly when I stopped squinting at my watch in the mornings.
I’m just starting my journey. Thanks for sharing the setbacks too. It’s good to know the headaches might just be part of the adjustment.
SaltyCoast, for me it helped a bit with the fatigue, which made my eyes feel less ‘tired’ and dry by 8 PM. Not a total cure but a help.

Has anyone noticed if this helps with the dry eye feeling? Or is that a separate issue entirely?

I noticed the text on the TV guide was sharper first. It’s those little things that you don’t notice day-to-day until you stop and think about it.
What brand of readers are you using? I find that even with better vision, the wrong lenses can still cause those headaches you mentioned.

Great update Bill. We need more of these realistic timelines. Too many people expect results in 48 hours.

Consistency is key. I missed a week while on vacation and I definitely felt the ‘grit’ coming back to my eyes.
I’m on week 2 right now and feeling frustrated. This post gave me a bit of hope to keep going. I’ll give it until at least week 6 before I judge it.

The ‘scrubbing the glasses’ feeling is the worst. I thought my lenses were scratched for months.
It’s funny you mention the tablet brightness. I just checked mine and realized I’m at 50% instead of 100%. I hadn’t even noticed I turned it down!

Linda, I found that doing both helped. But the consistency of the routine is what really changed things for my night driving.

Did you change your diet too, or just the supplement? I’m trying to decide if I need to go all-in on kale or if the pills are enough.

Glad to hear you stuck with it through the first few weeks. Most people quit too early.
That ‘visual fog’ is such a perfect way to describe it. I always thought it was just my cataracts getting worse, but sometimes it really is just needing better support for the eyes.
The contrast was the first thing for me too. Colors started looking less washed out after about six weeks.
