I’ve been dealing with peripheral neuropathy in my hands for about three years now. While it’s a constant struggle, I’ve found a few small habits that actually make the workday manageable. First, I switched to a vertical mouse and a split keyboard, which stopped the immediate cramping. Second, I do ‘nerve gliding’ exercises every two hours—just simple stretches for the median nerve. Lastly, I use a contrast bath (alternating warm and cool water) for five minutes before I start my shift. It doesn’t cure it, but it definitely lowers the baseline intensity of the tingling. Hope this helps some of you.

The contrast bath is a lifesaver. I usually do it right before bed too, helps me actually fall asleep without that buzzing feeling in my fingers.

Which vertical mouse did you get? I bought a cheap one and it felt like it made my wrist worse because of the angle.

Nerve gliding is so underrated. My physical therapist showed me those last year and they help clear up that ‘stuck’ feeling in the morning.

I’ve had decent results with the exercises too, but I also started taking Nervala ([i order from here](https://hop.clickbank.net/?affiliate=indigo7177&vendor=nervala&pg=cb2&tid=forum)) daily to help with the internal support. It seems to have dulled the constant prickling sensation over the last month.

Do you find that caffeine makes it worse? I noticed if I have a second cup of coffee, the tingling in my fingertips turns into a full-on throb.

CoffeeLover99, absolutely. I had to switch to decaf. The stimulants definitely agitate my nervous system. It’s a tough trade-off though.

I’m going to try the contrast baths. I’ve been using ice packs but sometimes the extreme cold actually triggers more pain for me.

Thanks for the tips. It’s nice to see some practical advice that isn’t just ‘take more painkillers.’ This community is great.
