**I’ve been struggling with what my doctor calls peripheral neuropathy in my hands for nearly three years now.**

It started as a faint prickling, like my hands were constantly falling asleep, but eventually, it turned into a persistent numbness that made simple tasks like typing or holding a coffee mug a real chore. I felt like I was losing my independence.

Initially, I went the standard route. I was on a high dose of gabapentin for a while, but the brain fog was just too much for me to handle while still working. I also tried generic B-complex vitamins and even some expensive physical therapy sessions. While the therapy helped with my range of motion, that **distressing tingling sensation** never really went away. I was frustrated and looking for something that wouldn’t make me feel like a zombie.

About four months ago, I decided to try a different approach after reading about the combination of high-dose alpha lipoic acid and benfotiamine. I started taking **Nervala ([usually discouted here](https://hop.clickbank.net/?affiliate=indigo7177&vendor=nervala&pg=cb2&tid=forum))** daily. I didn’t notice a change overnight, and honestly, I almost gave up after the first two weeks. However, around the six-week mark, I realized I hadn’t thought about my hands all morning. The buzzing had dialed down significantly.

Now, I’m at the point where I can garden again without that sharp discomfort. The biggest difference for me was the **consistency of the relief** without the side effects I got from prescriptions. It feels like it’s actually supporting the nerves rather than just masking the pain. Of course, everyone is different, and I still have the occasional bad day if I overdo it. You really have to stay **consistent with the dosage** for it to build up in your system. Has anyone else here had success with this specific combination, or are you still searching for the right balance?

The hand tingling is the worst, especially at night. Do you take yours with food or on an empty stomach?

I’m always a bit wary of supplements because the market is so unregulated. Did your doctor approve this specific combo?

I found that cutting back on sugar helped a bit too, but it didn’t solve everything. Neuropathy is such a puzzle.

Six weeks seems like a long time to wait for results, but I guess nerves heal very slowly.

I’ve been on Nervala for about two months now for my feet, and it’s the only thing that helped me sleep through the night without that burning feeling.

Does this cause any jitteriness? I had a bad reaction to a different ‘nerve support’ pill last year.

Glad to see someone else mentioning Nervala. My neurologist actually suggested the 600mg ALA dosage, and this brand has been very reliable for my leg issues.

Did you look into just buying the ingredients separately? I’ve seen some people talk about taking high-dose ALA on its own, and I’m curious why you picked that specific one over a cheaper generic version.

I actually did try a generic ALA first, but it really upset my stomach. When I switched to Nervala, I think the addition of the benfotiamine made a difference in how I felt, and for some reason, this formulation didn’t give me the same heartburn issues. It was just easier to keep up with.

I’m using a different brand right now but the ALA dose is much lower. Maybe that’s why I’m not seeing progress.

Is it expensive? My insurance doesn’t cover supplements obviously, and everything adds up so fast these days.

Adding my two cents—Nervala has been a staple for me since last year. It takes time, but the steady improvement is worth the wait.

Always check with your doctor first, especially if you’re on blood sugar meds. ALA can sometimes affect those levels.
