After mentioning to my neurologist that neck cracking causes a shocking sensation in my arm, she ordered an EMG for both arms. The procedure was so intense I nearly fainted 😅, and within a few days, I developed a burning sensation in my elbows that has intensified significantly over the last few weeks. Although I was diagnosed with ulnar nerve neuropathy, it seems strange that the elbow discomfort only appeared post-test. It makes me wonder if it’s all in my head? Additionally, I’ve been dealing with some joint pain that’s more worrisome than painful, and I’m currently awaiting results from a rheumatologist. My doctors claim they’ve never heard of an EMG triggering elbow pain. I’m just looking to see if anyone else has had a similar experience so I don’t feel like I’m losing it. I’m not trying to scare anyone off from the test; I think my reaction was just unusually strong. Edited for clarity.
