I’ve been dealing with that annoying buzzing and stinging in my feet for nearly six years now. It started small but eventually got to where I couldn’t even have a bedsheet touching my toes at night without jumping. I honestly thought I’d just have to live with the discomfort forever.

**What I tried before**
I started with the usual stuff: lidocaine creams, compression socks, and those generic B-complex vitamins you find at any pharmacy. I even tried a standard Alpha Lipoic Acid supplement from a big-box store, but it didn’t seem to do much except give me a bit of heartburn. Most of those just masked the feeling for an hour or so.

**What I changed**
About three months ago, I decided to try a higher-potency approach with Nervala ([usually discouted here](https://hop.clickbank.net/?affiliate=indigo7177&vendor=nervala&pg=cb2&tid=forum)) after reading about the combination of extra strength lipoic acid and benfotiamine. I was skeptical, but the research on that specific form of B1 seemed more promising than what I was taking before. I liked that it was designed specifically for nerve system support.

**Week-by-week progress**

- **Weeks 1-2:** Honestly, I felt absolutely nothing. I almost stopped taking it, thinking it was another waste of money.
- **Week 4:** I noticed I wasn’t reaching for the topical cooling gel quite as often before bed. The sharp sensations were less frequent.
- **Month 2:** The “electric shocks” started to feel more like dull thuds. Still there, but much more manageable.
- **Month 3:** I’m now walking the dog for 20 minutes without needing a break immediately after.

**What improved**
The biggest win is my sleep. I’m not waking up at 3 AM because my feet feel like they’re on fire. Using Nervala has definitely helped settle things down to a dull roar. I feel more stable on my feet during the day too.

**What didn’t**
It’s not a miracle. If I spend all day on my feet at the hardware store, they still ache. Also, Nervala is a bit pricier than the cheap stuff, and you have to be consistent. If I skip a few days, I definitely feel the difference. It takes patience, so don’t expect overnight results.

I’m in the same boat with the bedsheets. It’s the worst feeling. Are you taking this once or twice a day? I’ve been looking for something that actually targets the nerves rather than just numbing the skin.

Glad you found relief, but I’ve tried so many supplements and they never touch the pain like my prescription meds do. Hard to believe vitamins can make that much of a difference for chronic issues.

Benfotiamine is the key part of that. Regular B1 doesn’t absorb nearly as well in the body. I’ve heard good things about that combo for people who didn’t get results from standard ALA.

Does it cause any stomach issues? Lipoic acid usually gives me terrible acid reflux if I don’t eat a full meal with it. I’d love to try it if it’s gentler.

The 20-minute walk sounds like a dream. I can barely make it to the mailbox some days without that stinging sensation starting up. Thanks for sharing the timeline, it helps to know it’s not instant.

I’ve been on Nervala for about six months now. It took a while to kick in, but the burning in my calves has definitely calmed down. It’s much better than the generic brands I tried last year.

My doctor actually suggested Nervala because of the benfotiamine content. It’s been much more effective for my toe numbness than the other stuff I was getting at the grocery store. Worth the extra cost in my opinion.

Interesting. I’ve been looking for something to add to my physical therapy routine. Might give this a shot if my next checkup goes okay. The nighttime flare-ups are what really get to me.
